“I still can’t believe Gerri matched you up with Tony and Bryan.” Braelynn poured them both a glass of wine. “I bet sex with both of them is incredible.”

“Oh, it’s amazing,” Annette swooned. “I don’t know if it’s the mind link or what, but they know exactly how I want it.”

“We should introduce BJ to Gerri,” Braelynn suggested. “She hasn’t been on a date since Dave.”

“Good luck with that.” Annette laughed.

“We’ll figure something out.” Braelynn shrugged. “What are you going to do about Mara? I don’t remember them ever mentioning her.”

“I don’t know. but I don’t want her anywhere near them. There’s something off about her.”

“Man, I wish I could have been there to see you knock the shit out of her. Talk about a priceless moment.”

“Oh, it came with a price.” Annette rubbed her wrapped hand. “My knuckles were the price.”

“Yeah, but it felt good didn’t it?”

“It did make me feel better.” Annette laughed. “I think it only fueled the fire though.”

“Let me know if you need a partner in crime. We’ll kick the bitch’s ass together,” Braelynn told her.

They laughed together. They hadn’t had a girl’s day in weeks. Annette put the last of Braelynn’s books in a box. That was the last box for the living room. In the past two hours they had only gotten the kitchen and living room packed.

“This is going to take all afternoon,” Annette said, looking at the wall of boxes.

“I didn’t know I had this much shit.” Braelynn laughed. “We’ll order pizza in a bit.”

“Do you have anymore newspaper? I’ll wrap up the hallway knick-knacks.”

“Let me check. I think we used it all.” Braelynn went into the kitchen. She rummaged around, looking under empty boxes. “Nope, it’s all gone. I can get Ronan to bring some by later.”

“No worries, I’ll run over to my apartment. I have a few in the recycling bin,” Annette offered.
